In a testament to the adventurous spirit and determination of its members, the Old Kingswoodian Scouts’ Association (OKSA) is thrilled to announce that one of its own, Madawa Boragolla, affectionately known as “Bore” (බොරේ) among the association, is embarking on an extraordinary journey to conquer the highest peak in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro.
Madawa, or Bore as he is fondly called by his OKSA family, is an avid outdoorsman and long-time member of the association. He has taken on the challenge of scaling the 5,895-meter mountain located in Tanzania. Kilimanjaro is renowned for its diverse terrain, ranging from lush rainforests to arid alpine deserts, all leading to the iconic snow-capped summit.
The Old Kingswoodian Scouts’ Association, a community dedicated to nurturing leadership, resilience, and a love for nature, is immensely proud of Bore’s latest venture. As he embarks on this incredible challenge, OKSA sends its heartfelt wishes for his success and safety.
